It was a bit of a rolly night unfortunately. The south east wind
built the swell up and it rolled around Grimstone Point and into Woodwark Bay.
All 3 yachts left the bay at around 9.30am and headed for
Stonehaven. The wind had built and was gusting to 20 knots and the tide was
flooding south so the seas were a bit steeper than we liked.
With the head sail unfurled we motor sailed towards Stonehaven.
Half way across Isabella’s engine overheated and they had to
shut it down. They proceeded into the anchorage under sail and dropped anchor.
Nirvana's Kitchen
Isabella
After some lunch Leon and I went to give them a hand and
diagnose the issue which we found was their impeller had disintegrated. Once
that was changed the water flow returned and all was good.
Drinks and dinner were on Nirvana’ Kitchen. Another farewell
dinner for them as they were going to head south in the morning.
Leon brought out the Hendricks Gin and we had that with tonic
and cucumber.
Nirvana cooked a beautiful chicken green curry and noodles with
snow pea salad.
Another great day although a bit eventful for Isabella.
