5th June Pancake Creek To Great Kepple Island 73nm

Woke at dawn for a quick getaway as we had a long haul to get to Great Kepple Island. A cup of tea to get started followed by breakfast and coffee on the run. Had to sail through all the ships anchored of Gladstone.

Witnessed one ship doing life boat drill

Saw loads of dolphins again but no whales.
Lot of ships in the background

 Cape Capricorn
Sail into Great Kepple Island

As we approached Cape Capricorn we sailed on the inside of Rundle Island. While doing that we spotted a wrecked Catamaran on the rocks. Not sure if it was a navigation error or a boat that broke away in the cyclone and got wrecked there.

We witnessed a vessel being recovered by the coast guard after it hit a submerged object and both shaft drives were smashed.

It was a very long days sail. Caught 2 more Tuna but let them both go. Still trying to catch the spotted mackerel.
Arrived just after sunset so we quickly anchored and enjoyed a beer.
