We were up reasonably early to have breakfast on the strand and
grab last minute supplies from the supermarket. We ran into Trevor and
Elizabeth shopping. A good walk back to the marina with bags of shopping at
about midday. Left Townsville Marina after some lunch and completing the fill
with water and fuel. Motored around west side of Magnetic and arrived in Horseshoe
bay in time to meet Rob and Donna Starkey on the beach for fish and chips.
Anchored in the bay was Ngak Ngak with Michelle and Hamish on
board who also joined us.
A great night sleep with a gentle roll. It is good to be back on
the yacht.
Next day was the official Magnetic Island Rendezvous for the
RPAYC Coral Coat Cruise and we had a BBQ on the foreshore between 2 and 6 pm.
Yachts present were Novae, Nirvana’s Kitchen Southern Belle,
Victory, Barrenjoey Light, Isabella and Ngak Ngak.
