9th and 10th June  Pearl Bay

Pearl Bay has never been so beautiful when I have been here previously. There is no swell and the days have been glorious. Went fishing both days in the channel between the mainland and an island. With the run out tide there is a lot of water flowing out. That is where the fish congregate in the flowing water along the drop off. Caught some good fish – red throat emperor, stripey perch, rock cod and parrot fish. At 4pm there were drinks on the beach with all the other 8 yachts anchored in the bay. We met a lovely family on a Bavaria 38 doing a circumnavigation of the world. Also met some lovely people just cruising up and down the coast. One couple are on their 19th trip up and down the QLD coast.
