11th June   Pearl Bay to Hexham Island  32nm

Time to move on unfortunately. Had a really great relax at Pearl Bay. Still no swell to speak of so we had some really good sleeps there. The weather had turned grey and rain clouds were in abundance. Sailed to Hexham Island in a 15 to 20 knot southerly. Hexham island was a pretty anchorage which I think would be delightful in the right sunshine. We had a few rain squalls on the way so the yacht got a good washing down. Caught a spotted mackerel as I was winding the lines in just prior to anchoring. That’s dinner sorted. Peter the crew is getting sick of eating fish but he will have to wait for Mackay before getting alternatives. The night waters were full of fish and it rained most of the night.
