The two days were spent with more boat chores and reprovisioning
with the use of the marina courtesy car.
The marina put on a very nice Reef and Beef evening for the
marina guests. They gave us a free drink and a plate of prawns and a burger and
fish and chips. It was a fantastic night with 5 RPAYC yachts in attendance
which made it an unofficial rendezvous.
Isabella, Ngak Ngak, Billabong, Unruffled and Barrenjoey Light were in
attendance.
It was also a magnificent sunset.
I think we all drank a little too much and had lots of fun.
The only sad part of the evening was the fact that Swans got a
thrashing from Geelong in the elimination final at the MCG. A disappointing way
to end the season when they showed so much promise.
Next day we competed the laundry and the last of the provisions.
I had a quick swim in the town lagoon which has been completely refurbished
after the cyclone destroyed it.
It is now looking very tropical and a great centre piece for
Airlie.
